We finally got back out there this weekend! First hike of 2020 in the books. We did a simple trek to McDowell Creek. It’s closeby, and an easy one to start off with.
We needed it to be simple as one of us (not me) was recovering from surgery, and I’m a little out of shape from being couped up all Winter.
It was a lovely sunny day, with just enough clouds in the sky. It was cold, but not freezing. There were signs of Spring everywhere we looked. The trees have buds on them, a few wildflowers were starting to bloom and there was plenty of water coming over the falls.
I’m looking forward to our next outing, but it will be a few weeks. We’ve made plans to visit some new places, and return to some favorites as well. I will of course be posting and sharing here as usual.
I hope you and yours are beginning to be able to enjoy this time of year. I know I’ve been looking forward to it!
