In these uncertain times, it’s refreshing to know that the LGBTQIA community continues to come together and support one another.
2020 was hard. All of the usual Pride events that we go to we’re cancelled. It’s been so long since we’ve been able to feel that sense of community.
I can’t adequately describe the feeling except to say that it makes me feel free. Like I can be totally me and not put up the walls that we’ve all gotten so used to putting up in our daily lives. As a member of the LGBTQIA community, I don’t even realize how much I do it until I spend time with hundred’s or even thousands of other like minded diverse people.
My partner and I are so looking forward to the few events that are happening in our area. It will feel like being able to breathe again.
We’ve both been fully vaccinated and our state is nearly at 70% vaccination status for those 12 years and up. We’ve been hiking a little bit and will do much more as the summer goes on.
I’ve posted a few pictures of the painted hills in eastern Oregon for you to see😊. As we travel more places, I’ll start posting more.
