Coming August 2nd!

I know, it’s been almost two months since I last posted. Life has been crazy busy, lot’s of changes but I’m still finding time to write. COVID is not going away, and we all have to do our part to keep it from spreading and killing. Children are the most vulnerable ones right now and we all need to do what we can to protect them.

I’m very excited to announce that I will be releasing Out from the Under on Kindle Vella on Monday, August 2nd! This is the perfect format for this story and I hope that you like it!

The story: “An extinction-level solar event forces kids, teens, and young adults to survive together in underground bunkers run by the US government. Forced labor, forced reproduction, and an uncertain future follow the survivors as they work towards getting topside again to a much-changed world. Strong female and LGBTQ characters meld together in an evolving story of struggle and conflict. This story contains strong language and some adult themes.”

I will release three episodes a week and have twelve ready to go. Three will release on the 2nd and I will release another three on August 6th, then every Friday after that, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Although I’m still working on book three of the Coffee and Emeralds story, sci-fi and dystopian stories are my personal favorite, and it will be what I concentrate on for the future in my writing.

Jo and Sarah’s story isn’t finished yet, and I’m dedicated to bringing my readers the happy ending they’ve been waiting for.

Personally, life is good. My partner and I finally found a house and have moved in. There have been positive changes at my day job, and work has been more fulfilling. I’m hiking again, working out and trying to get more fit and stay healthy. My son has graduated high school and is working a summer job before attending college in the fall. We’re still working on that driver’s license though….What is it with young people not wanting to learn to drive? I told him a long time ago I was not going to cart him around forever…lol.

Much of the west coast is in serious drought status and the “heat bubbles” that continue to happen are making that worse. We need it to rain, preferably every night at least a little bit.

I hope all of you and your families and loved ones are well and happy. I thank you for your unending patience with me as I’ve struggled to write during this epidemic for various reasons.

Pride is coming up for our area in a couple of weeks, and we can’t wait. I’ve missed my community and am looking forward to spending time with those wonderful people again.
