Connecting and re-connecting

I recently arrived at a place in my life where I can see my past more clearly. It’s taken me a long time to get here.

I know more about myself. I’m coming to grips with hard things I had no control over in my life (and some things I do) and putting some of that on paper. It’s a big step for me and boy is it restorative. Writing has opened up some wounds that I thought were healed and clearly were not. I’m well on my way now. I feel more complete. Whole again.

I look around me and realize the most important thing I have is love. Love for and from my son, who is a constant positive force in this world. Love for my friends and family. Love for animals (my day job), for writing, for music. All of these things I have in abundance.

New friends and old friends. Those friends I made a long time ago? They are still there. One in particular will always be there and I will be for her also (you know who you are, JayDoop).

For those of you that know me, even those that don’t, I smile more. I laugh more. I find positive everywhere I can.

Life is way too short to give way to all the negativity in the world. Find your joy. Smile. Laugh. Love. Be you. Know you. Live you and share yourself with others.

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.
