Recent Treks and Things to Come…Corrected links

Hey there it’s Rae.  I know it’s been a while.  There aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done I need to unless I get up at 4am and go to bed at midnight, and my body will not allow me to do that for very long.

I’ll be posting the last two episodes of Out from the Under by the end of this month, then I’ll start posting episodes of the sequel series, Drifting in the stillness of the Turmoil.  Spoiler alert:  The last two episodes deal with the an altercation of both settlements from the bunkers receiving a visit and dealing with Chancellor Martinson, and what happens to our main characters.

I really appreciate everyone hanging in there with me as I muddle my way through things as best I can with the time I have.  My priority has been my partner and my family, while working my regular job full time 5 days a week.

This weekend we took a brief trek out to Alsea Falls.  We had intended to hike Green Peak falls again, which is close to Alsea Falls, but it was hailing, and raining and windy, so we took the easier route to see Alsea falls again.

Alsea Falls, 4/9/22

You can find even more of my adventures hiking in the Pacific Northwest on my website.  Just look back in previous posts to find them.  I have many places for you to see, including Smith Rock, Majestic Falls, Blue pool and so much more.

For those of you who follow my coffee and emeralds book series, I haven’t had much time to progress with the 4th and final book, but Sarah and Jo will be back.  I want to finish their story for myself and for my readers, and then concentrate on my other projects.  I miss writing about those two, and hope to get back to it soon.  Jo, Sarah, Karen, Lori and Trevor, Charlotte and even Freddie the cat.  Perhaps a new character will emerge?

For my outdoor and hiking listeners and followers, I have temporarily taken down my Etsy items but plan to repost them soon.  This will include Pride gear, the Get Outside outdoor gear, my coffee and emeralds series mugs and apparel, and my Pacific Northwest decals.  If you are interested in any of that, please bookmark my Etsy page at www.etsy.com/shop/RaesRainbows.  I’ll get some stuff posted soon, including pride gear!  For pride gear and other apparel, order early.  Shipping is tricky all over the US right now.

As we continue to navigate through the pandemic, I hope you all are well, happy and healthy.  It’s been a tough 2 years.  As the price of everything continues to rise, I hope that you have what you need to support yourself and your family.  I can’t go to the grocery store without spending $100 bucks each time and I go about twice a week.  The cost of groceries and gasoline is hurting us all, especially when wages are staying the same.  I spend about $300 bucks a month for gas for my commute.  I’m sure we all want the price to be below $4 bucks a gallon again.   Mm mmm oil companies…..

That’s all I have for you this time.  Thank you as always for your time.  I know how valuable it is.  I’ll be working on posting things to Etsy and getting those last two episodes of Out from the Under to you as soon as I can.

Have a fantastic week!

Rae
